Robert Clay Sansing, Sr., age 84, of Carrollton, AL passed away July 28, 2023 at his residence.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, David Ray Sansing; brothers, Jerry Sansing and Harry Sansing and sister, Peggy Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Florea Henderson Sansing; daughters, Tammy Sansing Kent (Norman) and Karen Sansing Kent (Gene); son, Robert Sansing (Sonya); sister, Nell Mathews; five grandchildren, Dennis Clay Sagely, Peyton Elizabeth Oglesby (Justin), Taylor Faith Johnson (Zach), Anna Mary Sansing and Brayden Sansing; four great-grandchildren, Mandy Sagely, Wyatt Noble, Waylon Clay Oglesby and James Carruth Johnson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Clay was born June 29, 1939 in Woodstock, Alabama to the late Robert Edward Sansing and Mary Adele George Sansing.  He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a retired employee of the Aliceville Housing Authority and a lifelong farmer.  Clay was a veteran of the U. S. Air National Guard serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
