TUSCALOOSA | Clifford Ray Noland, age 62, of Tuscaloosa, died April 16, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Lynn and Rev. Doug Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rayford Noland.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Elaine Gray Noland of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; daughter, Karen Noland Richardson (Joey) of Gordo, Ala.; son, Kevin Ray Noland (Candace) of Mobile, Ala.; grandsons, Jackson and Jase Richardson; mother, Virginia Jones Noland; sisters, Jeannie Clemmons, Ginger Harper, Teresa Lee, Reba Schmitz, and Kristy Driver.
Mr. Noland was born February 21, 1952 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a member of Union Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from the roofing business. Ray died after an almost six year battle with cancer. He endured many rounds of chemo, radiation, numerous surgeries and severe pain in his fight for life. Ray enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Dubay, Vedelia "Vi" Roberts, employees of DCH Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice of West Alabama.
