Curtis Lee Ferguson, age 73, of Reform, AL passed away June 25, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, July 2, 2021 at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Irene Webb and brother, Doug Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joyce Ferguson; daughter, Kristi Skolfield (Andy); son, Tim Ferguson (Janeanne); three brothers, John, Gene and Marvin; seven sisters, Margie, Kathleen, Christine, Dyann, Elaine, Lela and Janice; five grandchildren, Cassie, Brittani, Rebecca, Josie and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Jupiter and Rowen and numerous nieces and nephews.
Curtis was born April 13, 1948 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late William "Bill" Ferguson and Nancy Jane Swedenburg Ferguson. He was a veteran of the United States Army Military Police and a retired police officer with 30 years of service serving in Washington, DC, New Mexico and Reform, AL.
A country boy at heart, Curtis was kind, polite, honest, Christian, intelligent and dedicated to his duty and the law. He loved his family and friends and his K-9 partners, Kinno and Bear.
