ALICEVILLE – Curtis Jackson Garris, Jr., age 76, of Aliceville, Ala., died February 16, 2018, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. David Blakney officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be after the service at the graveside.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his brother, Walter Joseph "Bill" Garris (Rose) of Albany, Ga.; nieces, Deborah Lynn White (Mark) and Pamela Gayle Spencer (Richard), both of Albany, Ga.; cousins, Lela Mae Huggins of Aliceville, Ala., John Stewart (Laura) of Huttig, Ark., and Bart Huggins of Aliceville, Ala.; numerous other relatives; and his beloved pet companion Missy.
Curtis Jackson Garris was born March 22, 1941 in Eutaw, Ala. to the late Curtis Jackson Garris, Sr. and Ida Lenora Stewart Garris. He was a retired Cotton Farmer and served in the U.S. Army.
