My Daddy was a hardworking man who provided well for his family. He would give the shirt off of his back to a stranger. He helped anyone who needed help. If you needed a tree cut, you called Curt Oswalt. He lived his life to help others and I could never write down all of the people my Daddy has helped. From cutting trees, giving eggs and meat, if he could help, he would. I have watched my Daddy help people over and over and never expect anything back. He fought a long hard battle. He never gave up because of four grandchildren who changed his life. He loved all four of his grandchildren so much. They were his reason to live. My Daddy was my hero and I loved him more than I can ever explain. He was always there, no matter what. He stood by my Mama's side for 45 years. They had the love story of all time. My Daddy leaves behind a wonderful legacy that I pray the children and us can carry on in his honor. We love you Pop and thank you so much for all you did and stood for.Pallbearers will be Donnie Oswalt, Gary Phillips, Robert Phillips, Daniel Malone, Kevin Grimes, Brian Latham and Garnett Miller.Honorary pallbearers are Davita of Northport, Lifecare Ambulance, Dr. Krehblel, VA Medical Center, Dr. Strong and friends and neighbors of the Echola community and Gordo.
