Walter Curtis Wheat, age 59, of Reform, AL died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. A private service will be held at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hulley Wheat; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Wheat and Mr. And Mrs. W.C. Jaynes; his uncle, Jerry Ross Wheat; and aunt, Peggy Joyner.
Survivors include his mother, Pat Wheat; sons, Cameron Wheat and Derek James; girlfriend, Marcie Brown; sister, Christy Wheat; a special thank you to Jake Aronov; two grandchildren, Braydon James and Avery James; and his beloved dog, Shakira.
Curtis was born November 2, 1961 in Reform, AL. to Patricia Reagan Wheat and the late Walter Hulley Wheat. Curtis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, the library director for the City of Reform and was a member of Reform First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Reform Public Library, 302 1st St S, Reform, AL 35481, or to the Reform Volunteer Fire Department, 104 3rd Ave SE, Reform, AL 35481.
