Daisy Faye Simpson Floyd, age 90, of Gordo, AL passed away January 6, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Private services will be held at Reform First Presbyterian Church with Rev. George McLaurine officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Due to COVID-19, no visitation will be held.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James E. Floyd and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Grayson and husband, Ben of Gordo, AL; son, Tim Floyd and wife, Amy of Aliceville, AL; seven grandchildren, Joshua Wallace (Surena), Jamey Wallace, Adam Wallace (Hannah), Clint Grayson, Jana Davis (Will), Ethan Floyd and John Parker Floyd (Hannah Carole); six great-grandchildren, Haley Wallace, Jill Grayson, Sampson Davis, Honey Davis, Jarrett Wallace and Sipsey Grace Wallace; a number of nieces and nephews and very special friend and caregiver, Joanne Miller.
Daisy was born October 31, 1930 in Reform, Alabama to the late Murrace Fay Simpson and Frances Elizabeth Langdon Simpson. She was a member of Reform First Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of Alabama Power Company.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
