PALMETTO – Daniella Duckworth Bean, age 89, of Palmetto, Ala., died January 15, 2017, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Unity Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Tim Alexander and Rev. Bobbye Hagler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward ""Johnny"" Bean; two sons, Lance Daniel Bean and Gary David Bean; three daughters, Barbara Jo Bean, Jonnie Maddox and Elaine Murray; her parents; seven sisters; and one brother.Survivors include her sons, Paul Bean, Eddie Bean (Gloria), Jeff Bean (Leslie) and Robert Bean (June); sister, Mamye Richards; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Bean was born August 25, 1927 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Joe B. Duckworth and Lorene Chambliss Duckworth. She was a member of Unity Grove United Methodist Church and the retired owner and operator of Palmetto Grocery for 32 years.
