GORDO | Darrell Glenn Woolbright, age 53, died December 5, 2015, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. today, December 7, 2015, at Double Branch Independent Baptist Church with Rev. John Williams and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Woolbright, and grandparents, C.E. and Irene Woolbright and Elridge and Nora Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Cira Lopez Woolbright of Gordo, Ala., and parents, Freddie Wayman Woolbright and Kannie Mae Carpenter Woolbright of Gordo, Ala.
Darrell was born March 7, 1962, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was a member of Double Branch Independent Church, a bus driver for Tuscaloosa City Schools, and a lifelong resident of Pickens County.
Pallbearers will be Keith Carpenter, J.W. Carpenter, Billy Williams, Kenneth Junkin, Lance Carpenter, and Barry Burton.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Double Branch Independent Church, 394 Vaughn Dr., Gordo, AL 35466. -
