David Delano Lahman, Sr., age 88, of Fayette, AL passed away July 14, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services with military honors will be 10:00 am Monday, July 19, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in Merit Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Lahman; second wife, Nancy Lahman; son, David D. Lahman, Jr.; infant twin daughters and his parents .
Survivors include his grandson, David D. Lahman III (Destanie) of Mobile, AL; brother, Gene Lahman (Nancy) of Winter Haven, FL; sister, Mary Lee of Virginia Beach, VA; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Lahman, David Delano Lahman IV and Isaac Gray and a number of nieces and nephews.
David was born March 10, 1933 in Petersburg, West Virginia to the late Dewey Lahman and Margaret Moore Lahman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fayette and a retired employee of the U. S. Postal Service. David was also the former owner and operator of a dry cleaners and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
