Deborah Kay "Debbie" Lunsford Goins, age 61, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away February 27, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents on both sides any many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Bryan Goins of Tuscaloosa; two sons, Bruce Hudgins of Omaha, NE and Billy Hudgins of Aliceville; one grandson, Charlie Shepherd Hudgins of Houston, MS; brother, Kenneth Lunsford of Carrollton; sister Sherry Lunsford Lipsey (Billy) of Carrollton; nephews, William Lipsey (Kelsey) of Louisville, MS and John C. Lipsey (fiancé, Savannah) of Southhaven, MS; great-niece, Finley Lipsey and a host of cousins, family and friends.
Debbie was born July 6, 1961 in Reform, Alabama to the late John C. Lunsford, Jr. and Mary Lorene Price Lunsford. She graduated from Aliceville High School in 1979 and was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Debbie worked at DCH for many years on the Cancer ward and loved the friendships she made with staff and patients.
