Obituary

GORDO | Deborah Simmons Homan, age 50, of Gordo, died May 14, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adam Homan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Simmons; and twin infant son, Michael Lee Hughes.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Homan of Gordo, Ala.; daughters, Tessa Cuellar (Chris) of Canyon County, Calif., Kallenna Wilson (Jimmy) and Jo Autry (Brandon), both of Gordo, Ala., and Seslie Tennyson of Gordo, Ala. stationed in Vacaville, Calif.; sons, Matthew Hughes of McCalla, Ala. stationed in Arizona and Adam Homan (Holli) of Cottondale, Ala.; mother, Gail Hayes of West Newton, Pa.; sister, Treasa Ann Simmons; brothers, James Edward Simmons, Jr. and Charles Bradford Simmons, both of Brookwood, Ala. and William David Simmons of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Deborah was born October 3, 1965 in Washington, D.C. She was a homemaker and well known resident of the Gordo area.
