Dennis Gilliland, age 77, of Duncanville, AL passed away January 20, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Services will be announced.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Margie, Irma and Geraldine and seven brothers, Earl, George, Roscoe, Leslie, Dan, Glen and Thurmon.
Survivors include his daughters, Lisa McKnight (Ben) and Sharon Gilliland; son Raymond Gilliland (Hope); sister, Opalene Elmore; four grandchildren, Emily McKnight Skelton (Brylan), Nathan McKnight (Katie), Tyler Hopson and Erin Gilliland and a number of nieces and nephews.
Dennis was born February 6, 1946 in Palmetto, Alabama to the late Claude Gilliland and Mae Free Gilliland.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and he retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service.
Honorary Pallbearers are his golfing buddies of The Links at Tuscaloosa Golf Course, employees of Hospice of West Alabama and the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
