GORDO | Dennis Ray "Filp" Wilson, age 53, of Gordo, died March 31, 2015, at home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Elrod Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Mike Perrigin officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Gordo after the graveside service.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Dian Stewart Wilson of Gordo, Ala.; daughter, Malana Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; stepdaughter, Jill Henderson of Northport, Ala.; stepsons, Jon Stewart of Gordo, Ala., Josh Stewart and Justin Stewart, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; five grandchildren, Kayleigh Gibbons of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Peyton and Ethan Stewart of Gordo, Ala., and Jackson and Jacob Henderson of Northport, Ala.
Mr. Wilson was born November 21, 1961 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Thomas Wilson and Pearlie Jean Beard Wilson. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Gordo, a truck driver for SSAB in Northport, Ala. and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
