August 10, 1954 – April 20, 2025
William Derrell Galbreath, age 70, of Reform, AL died April 20, 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Reece and Bro. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Gordon "Peanut" Galbreath; his grandparents; stepson, Travis Hudson and granddaughter, Casey Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Galbreath; mother, Eulene Galbreath; daughter, Nikki Galbreath; son, Shane Galbreath (Amber); stepson, Nick Shelton (Erica); sister, Dedra Rushing (Randy); seven grandchildren, Brad Jackson, Blake Shelton, Trent Hudson, Trevor Hudson, Riley Shelton, Ashlynn McElroy, and Alanna McElroy; two great-grandchildren, Haven Jackson and Aria Jackson.
Derrell was born August 10, 1954 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church and attended New Salem Baptist Church. He retired from the Board of Education as a diesel mechanic with 28 years of service and still worked for L & D Moore Contracting. Derrell was an also a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.
Pallbearers will be Jason Galbreath, Dennis Stokes, Gary Hannah, Craig Warren, Randy Peeks and Nick Shelton.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ricky Parham, Larry Smith and employees of L & D Moore Contracting.
