Jennifer Diane Criswell, age 75, of Reform, AL passed away at her home surrounded by her family on August 15, 2022. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, 1012 County Rd. 28, Reform, AL 35481.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Walter Criswell; her parents; son-in-law, Elmer McDaniel; brothers, Joe Shirley, Wilford Shirley, Ray Shirley, Robert Shirley and Thomas Shirley; sisters, Christine Smith, Louise Koon, Betty Gray, Magaleen Connell and Katie Banks.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Jones (Bob), Mary Criswell and Julie McDaniel; son, Greg Criswell (Tiffany); ten grandchildren, Chris Jones (Ashley), Casie Jones, Cody McDaniel (Tori), Sarah McDaniel, Caleb Criswell, Mattie Criswell, Laura Grace McDaniel, Natalie Criswell, Destiny Cobb and Harper Jones; one great-grandchild, Beckett McDaniel; sister, Geraldine Lowe (Harold); brother, Davis Shirley (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was born in Gordo, Alabama, one of 13 children, to the late Parrish Shirley and Janet Elmore Shirley. She was a retired school lunchroom worker, a lifelong resident of Pickens County and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. If you passed through her line in the school cafeteria, you took her smile with you.
Pallbearers are Cody McDaniel, Caleb Criswell, Freddie Lowe, Steve Lowe, Terry Lowe and Eddie Lowe.
Honorary Pallbearers are Reform Elementary School cafeteria workers, Pickens County High School cafeteria workers and Amedisys Hospice.
