Cornelia Diane Smith, age 63, of Northport, AL passed away June 1, 2020 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Zion Baptist Church in Gordo with Bro. Mike Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in Big Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Willeford.
Survivors include her husband, James Ellis Smith; her daughter, Melissa Diane Flake; son, James Dale Smith; two sisters, Patsy Reynolds and Shirley Lancaster; six grandchildren, Austin, Lindsy, Lizabeth, Karlee, Baylee and Brianna, special sisters-in-law, Judy Taunton and Barbara McCafferty and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane was born July 3, 1956 in Aliceville, Alabama to the late Elmo Clinton Willeford and Florine Partlow Willeford. She was a member of Gordo High School Class of 1975 and a retired inspector for United Technologies in Columbus,, MS.
Pallbearers are Austin Smith, Jamie Flake, Sam Hamlett, Airon Abston, Danny Trawick and Junior Lancaster.
Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Powell, Tommy Michalski and the Mount Olive Fire Protection District.
