KENNEDY | Donna Thompson Hysaw, age 55, of Kennedy, died Sunday Dec. 21, 2014 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Don Akin speaking and Bro. Glenn Kennedy and Bro. Trey Reece officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet "Beaver Dam" Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.She was preceded in death by her father, Eulice Akin; mother, Ellen Marie Potts; and sister, Phyllis Akin.Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lynn Hysaw of Kennedy; daughter, Amanda Thompson Lofton (Johnny) of Reform; son, Rufus Thompson (Tiffany) of Reform; sisters, Charlene Fife (Marty) of Reform, and Sebbie Smith (Dave) of Niagra Falls, N.Y.; brother, Doug Akin (Kristy) of Columbiana, Ala.; grandchildren, Dawson Lofton, Rylan Thompson, Logan Thompson, Lexie Thompson, Christen Wilson, and Chelsey Wilson-Sanford; great-grandchild, Audrey Wilson; and 7 nieces and 2 nephews.Pallbearers will be Veto Mann Jr., Dale Fife, Brian Kelley, Brad Thomas, Randy Duncan, and Matt Britt.Honorary pallbearers are nurses and staff of Hospice of West Alabama.
