GALLION – Donnie Babb, age 67, formerly of Reform, Ala. died May 6, 2017 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Stevens and Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will immediately follow the service at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the funeral home.He was preceeded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Roy Bain.Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Becky Cooper Babb; daughters, Nicole Skelton (Brad) and Courtney Thrash (James); sister, Billie Bain; brother, Charles Babb (Johnnie); grandchildren, Olivia, Caitlin, Hunter, Maggie Mae, Caden and Ella; nieces, Kathy and Kristi and nephew, Steve.Donnie was born August 5, 1949 in Palmetto, Alabama to the late William Olon Babb and Kitty Mae Kyles Babb. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired Regional Safety and Environmental manager for the lumber industry. He was a member of the American Red Cross and served as a Medic in the United States Army Reserves.Donnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son who was deeply devoted to his family who meant the world to him.Honorary pallbearers will be Coach John Akins, Shelton Roberts, Danny Sullivan, Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Travis and staff of Travis Clinic in Demopolis, Dr. Gregory Chapman, Dr. Tai and staff of Cancer Care Center in Demopolis, PCHS Class of 1967 and the crew members of Air Evac Lifeteam 106 of Demopolis.In lieu of flowers family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society , Mid-South Division, P.O.
