Doris Nell Hallman, age 87, of Gordo, AL passed away March 6, 2023 at her daughter's residence. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, March 10, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Carroll and Bro. Jimmy Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B. G. Hallman; parents; sister, Rose Evans and brothers, Lewis Whitley, Walter "Tick" Whitley, George Whitley and Billy Ray Whitley.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Carroll and husband, Joe of Gordo; sister, Elaine Whitson of Millport; sister-in-law, Judith Whitley of Tuscaloosa; two grandchildren, Brad Carroll (Alyson) and Kevin Carroll (Misty) and four great-grandchildren, Bradyn McKee (Daniel), Rylee Carroll, Tyler Carroll and Allie Carroll.
Doris was born October 4, 1935 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Theo Whitley and Louise Ligon Whitley. She was a member of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of Westinghouse.
Pallbearers will be Walter Whitley, William Whitley, Paul Whitley, Brad Carroll, Kevin Carroll and Tyler Carroll.
