Doris Inell Marlowe Smith, age 75, of Gordo, AL died July 22, 2025 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Hargrove Methodist Church with Bro, Trey Kelley and Rev. Alicia Rhodes officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dinah Marlowe Simmons.
Survivors include her special friend, Bruce James; brothers, Clifton Marlowe (Frances), Clarence Marlowe (Debbie) and Clinton Marlowe; niece, Angela Parham (Kyle) and children, Charlie and Xavier Parham; nephews, David Marlowe and children, Channing and Camillia Marlowe,  James Marlowe (Crystal) and children, Lacie Marlowe and Ceslie Barger; nieces, Misty Edwards Kizziah (Bradley) and children, Rylan and Adleigh Kizziah, Krystle Edwards (Gates Owens) and children, McKinnley Thrash and Copeland Owens, Dawn Nelson (Dakota) and children, Liam Rice, Paislee Edwards and Leevi Nelson, Jonathan Marlowe, Misty Marlowe and Matthew Marlowe.
Doris was born May 8, 1950 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Charlie Clifton Marlowe and Virginia Inell Wallace Marlowe.  She was a homemaker, a lifelong resident of Pickens County and attended Hargrove Methodist Church and Big Hill Baptist Church.
