REFORM - Dorothy Alene Hammond, age 88, of Reform, Ala., died October 30, 2017, at her home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hammond; her parents; sisters, Louise Stratton, Betty Ann Zondlo and Nell Marshall; brothers, Marvin Marshall and George Marshall; and daughter-in-law, Sue Tucker.
Survivors include her daughters, Doris Morgan, Donna Parker (Danny) and Debbie Hayes (Randy); sons, Dale Tucker, Dennis Tucker (Rita) and Danny Tucker; sisters, Jean Robertson and Lucy Bailey; brothers, J. E. Marshall and Bobby Marshall; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
Dorothy was born October 20, 1929 in Vernon, Alabama to the late Roy C. Marshall and Loventrice Holley Marshall. She was a member of Unity Grove Methodist Church and a retired seamstress for Seminole Manufacturing in Columbus, Miss.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Daniel Parker, Andrew Tucker, Casey Hayes, Robert Tucker, Bryan Hayes and nephew, Doug Robertson.
Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Davis, Stephen Tucker, Joe Williams, James Stratton, Stewart Clay and David Tucker.
