REFORM – Dorothy Jean Cotton Edgeworth, age 81, of Reform, Ala., died August 14, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. today, August 16, 2016, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Blakney officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service.She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Frederick Edgeworth, Sr.; her parents; and sisters, Vivian and Clara.Survivors include her sons, Freddy Edgeworth and wife, Robin and Jeff Edgeworth; grandchildren, Brent Edgeworth and wife, Brittany and Callen E. McHenry and husband, Garrett; and great-grandchildren, Kacen McHenry and Hadley McHenry.Jean was born July 31, 1935 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late William Early and Rutha Belle Upchurch Cotton. She was a member of the Reform First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Rachel Chapter #145. Jean was the retired Director of the Reform Housing Authority and a well-known resident of Pickens County.Honorary pallbearers are her special caregivers, Sue Bohannon and Barbara Noland, members of the Orders of the Eastern Star Rachel Chapter #145 and the Masonic Fellowship Lodge #172.
