EUFAULA - Doyle Wayne Goodson, age 69, of Eufaula, Ala., died April 9, 2018 at his residence. Services will be 1 p.m. today, April 11, 2018, at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Edward Spain officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th St., Aliceville, AL.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Allen Goodson and Michael Goodson; his parents; and brother, Cecil Goodson.
Survivors include his son, Lee Goodson and wife, Beth; sisters, Mary Lou Johnson (Pat) and Gladys Robertson (Randy); brother, James Goodson (Suzanne); numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Tammy Milstead, her children and grandchildren that he helped raise and loved dearly.
Doyle Wayne was born on March 16, 1949 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Rollan Goodson and Maud Wilson Goodson. He was a retired employee of Burkes Mechanical and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, c/o Lois Bruce, 4100 Sapps Rd., Carrollton, AL 35447.
