TALLADEGA – Edgar Leon "Lee" Wheat, Jr., age 49, died April 22, 2017 at Talladega Heath Care. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to and immediately following the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepmother, Judy Wheat.
Survivors include his daughter, Carmen Danielle Wheat; son, Quinten Lee Wheat, both of Reform, Ala.; sister, Deborah Finch ( Mark) of Millport, Ala.; mother of his children, Tami Kyles Wheat; former sister-in-law, Melissa Richardson (David); former brother-in-law, Jeff Kyles (Linda) of Reform, Ala.; former father and mother-in-law, George and Merle Kyles, all of Reform, Ala.; nieces, Valerie Fields (Dusty), Leah Abrams (Jordy), Laci Kyles and Rylee Clark (Robbie); nephews, Micah Richardson and Vance Richardson (Allison); and great niece, Presley Abrams.
Lee was born October 13, 1967 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Edgar Leon Wheat Sr. and Sylvia June Mordecai Wheat. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a former pastor.
