Edmon Delaine Snider, age 87 passed away April 10, 2021 at his residence in Gordo, AL. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Flatwoods Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo, AL with Rev. Jack House officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Ann Elrod; his parents; sisters, Mildred Gay, Ludie Mae Fallon, Loma Goggins and Mary Frances Simmons and brothers, S.C. Snider, Armon Harris Snider and Elton Snider.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy J. Snider; son, Richard Snider; daughter, Marceea Delynn Knox (Tim); sister, Faye Posey; Five grandchildren, Brett Elrod, Meagan Snider Heinlein, Mandy Snider Chenault, Joshua Knox, and Meggan Knox; Seven great-grandchildren, Mikialah Knox, Moses Knox, Morgan Knox, Kulaya Knox, Kamron Knox, Jacob Knox, and Jaklynn Knox.
Edmon was born June 2, 1933 to the late Silas C. Snider and Myrtie Ann Hood Snider. He was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, a self-employed electrician and a veteran of the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be Michael Beck, Braden Clark, Wayne Snider, Paul Gay, Ray Fleet and Randy Pate.
