GORDO – Edna Nell Walker, age 81, died November 5, 2016 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab. Services will be 11 a.m. today, November 9, 2016 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Smothers and Rev. Leonard Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the church with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward "Cricket" Walker; son, Larry Walker; daughter-in-law, Patricia Randall Wood Walker; son-in-law, Billy Parker; her parents and siblings, Lucille, Sara and William Edward "Bud" Cabiness.Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Walker Parker and Karen Walker Cote (Chris); son, Jeffrey B. Walker (Dian); sister, Billie Faye Burton (Charles); sisters-in-law, Mary Nell Floyd and Bobbie Cabiness; grandchildren, Brandy Barrett (Jon), Tammy Howell (Mary Howell), Danny Walker (April), Patryck Parker, Lindsey Pharo (Chris), Lance Walker, Eric Gissendanner, Jennifer Sexton and Cadi Sexton Sanford (Coty); great-grandchildren, Hannah Barrett, Adilyn Walker, Kaitlin Cherry and Christopher Pharo; and a number of nieces and nephews.Mrs. Walker was born July 16, 1935 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Albert Lee Cabaniss and Addie Winningham Cabaniss. She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, co-owner of Walker's Greenhouse and Florist and a well-known resident of the Gordo area.Pallbearers will be Danny Walker, John Barrett, Patryck Parker, Lance Walker, Eric Gissendanner, Danny Gray, Garry Guy and Todd Malone.Honorary pallbearers are the Flatwoods and Kirk communities and employees of Arbor Woods Health & Rehab.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Flatwoods Baptist Church 778 Flatwoods Road, Gordo, AL 35466.
