Edward Armon Franklin, Jr., age 58, of Gordo, AL died July 26, 2018 at DCH Regional Med Center.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Larry
Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of
Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Armon Franklin, Sr.
Survivors include his sons, James "Jamie" Franklin and Brandon Franklin; mother, Alice Franklin;
brother, Wendell Franklin, two sisters, Deborah Lofton and Theresa Hallman; three grandchildren and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Edward was born December 14, 1959 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a retired
self-employed truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, Mid-South
Division, 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 201, Birmingham, AL 35205.
