Elias Yáñez "Alex" Martinez, age 53, of Aliceville, AL passed away June 18, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Ackerman officiating. Burial will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Martinez; mother, Celia Yáñez Martinez; brothers, Lucio Martinez Yáñez, Francisco Martinez Yáñez and Frederico Martinez Yáñez and one sister, Vicenta Martinez Yáñez.
Survivors include his wife, Eucevia Martinez; daughters, Michaela Martinez and Angie Martinez; sons, J. Martinez, Antonio Martinez and Alex Martinez; brothers, Bernardo Martinez Yáñez, Pablo Martinez Yáñez, Juan Martinez Yáñez, Higinio Martinez Yáñez, Julio Martinez Yáñez and Jose Francisco Martinez Yáñez; sisters, Amada Martinez Yáñez and Sofia Martinez Yáñez and granddaughter, Cara Grace Martinez.
Alex was born April 17, 1968 in Tancoyol, Jalpan, Qro, Mexico. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Louisville, MS and owner of Martinez Construction.
Pallbearers will be Aidee Martinez, Julio Martinez, Pablo Je Jesus, Damian Martinez, Pedro Rodriguez and Jose Luis Cruz.
Honorary Pallbearers are sons J., Antonio and Alex.
