Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Carpenter, age 82, of Eutaw, AL passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 31, 2025.
Liz was born June 19, 1942, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Sherman Maxwell Broughton and Kathryn Edmonds Broughton. She married Homer E. Carpenter, Jr. on July 28, 1962, and they spent their lives together in Lewiston, AL. Prior to retirement, Liz worked in sales at United Roofing where she was highly respected for her dedication, passion, and commitment to her customers and the company.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Those close to her know how much she cherished spending time with her family, and particularly loved the ever-frequent shopping trips with her sister, Sara. An animal lover at heart, you could always find one of her dogs sitting on her lap at home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church (7782 County Road 181, Eutaw, AL 35462) with Rev. Bill Bettes officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
Survivors include her husband, Homer E. Carpenter, Jr. of Eutaw; son, Homer E. Carpenter III (Angie) of Eutaw; daughter, Shona Carpenter (Alicia Doherty) of Atlanta, GA; brother, Jerry Broughton (Carol) of Fairhope; sister, Sara Jones of Auburn; granddaughter, Amber Nicole Carpenter Vidal (Alex) and great-grandson, Leo Alexander Vidal.
Pallbearers will be Greg Espey, Larry Cotton, Jay Broughton, Alex Vidal, Chris Jones, and Jody Corbitt.
