Elizabeth Holmes Cowan, age 91, of Reform, AL and formerly of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away June 30, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wayne Cowan; her parents; sister, Mary Frances Langham of Akron; brother, Bill Holmes of Birmingham and niece, Phyllis Nixon of Homewood.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Massey (Joey) of Moundville, AL; sister, Susan Jones of Trussville, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cowan was born October 9, 1929 to the late Walker and Idalia Holmes of Akron, AL. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Reform.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 385 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
