Elloise was born on April 29, 1925 in Red Bay, Alabama to W. H. (Bill) Morris and Minnie E. Morris. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 63 years, Walter Lee O'Briant; son, Derrell Lee O'Briant; brothers, Herbert and Ranel Morris and sisters, Eunice Crowe and Billie Sue Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Glenda O. Pate (Bruce "Butch"); daughter-in-law, Terri C. O'Briant; grandchildren, Tansley Pate Marty (Bill), Shayne Pate (Heather), Jennifer McCrory (Jason) and Drew O'Briant (Brooke); great-grandchildren, Dayleigh Pate Boutwell (Dallas), Caden Pate, Ashtyn Pate, Carsyn Elliott, Will Marty, Emma Marty, Chandler McCrory, Ethan McCrory, Collin McCrory, Hayden Kirkpatrick, Max O'Briant , Macy Kate O'Briant and fifth generation great-great grandchildren, Dayson, Dax and David.
Elloise enjoyed a long and healthy life. She was a beautiful seamstress, sewing for her daughter and granddaughter. Southern gospel music was her absolute favorite and she would frequent "all day" singings at the local churches. Elloise also loved to sing and was active in the church choir at First Baptist Church, Reform, Alabama, where she was a member. Occasionally, she sang alto with Ruben Estes, Amos L. Carpenter, and Burnette Skelton for local funerals in the area.
Elloise was a homemaker, stay at home mother until her children were school age, then worked part time at Hopkin's Five and Dime Store where she made floral arrangements as a store clerk and also worked in sales at Marge's and Stokes Clothing Store in Reform. Mama Weese was well known to those in the community, was an excellent cook and lived a simplistic life, devoting herself unconditionally to her family. She was all loving, never one to complain, slow to anger, and had a mild mannered spirit until the day Jesus called her home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Marty, Will Marty, Drew O'Briant, Milton Brown, Chandler McCrory, Ethan McCrory, Shayne Pate, and Ashtyn Pate.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Jones, Tracey Bates, Irene Watt, staff and associates of Arbor Woods Health and Rehab, PC3 staff, Dr. Julia Boothe, Darlene Pittman and Amedisys Hospice.
