Emmanuel Martinez, age 22, of Gordo, AL passed away August 6, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Friday, August 11, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform.  Visitation will be one hour prior and after the service at the funeral home.  A graveside service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2023 in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Elias Martinez, Felix Ruiz, Santiago Ruiz and Federico Martinez and aunt, Vincenta Martinez.
Survivors include his parents, Julio and Epifania Martinez; brothers, Brandon Martinez, Julio Martinez, Jr., Pablo Martinez and Dylan Martinez; sister, Stephanie Martinez; grandparents, Pablo Ruiz Martinez and Lucia Reyes Sanchez; aunts and uncles, Bernado Martinez (Felia), Pablo Martinez (Eva), Juan Martinez, Amanda Martinez, Sofia Martinez, Higinio Martinez (Alma); Jose Francisco Martinez, Rafael Martinez (Teresa), Eucevia Martinez, Miguel Ruiz (Rocio),  J. Santos Ruiz (Martha), Luis Ruiz (Guadalupe), Facunda Ruiz, Valeriano Ruiz, Galdino Ruiz (Gloria), Aurora Ruiz Reyes, Bertha Ruiz, Margarita Ruiz, Pablo Ruiz, Jr. (Isabel), Vicenta Ruiz Reyes and Estela Ruiz Reyes, Martinez cousins, Alex, J., Antonio, Micahela, Rubi, Aidee, Amber, Amanda, Jose, Rogelio, Saul, Cecelia, Angie, Gabriel, Miguel, Angel, Ivan, Diego, Marybel and Amairany;  and Ruiz cousins, Beatriz, Adeline, Jasmine, Luis, David, Alison, Yessy, Yariel, Gizel, Axel, Joselin, Alexis, Lucia, Pablo, Jr., Jaqueline, Alexander and Estrella.
Emmanuel was born August 9, 2000 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  He was a member of the Catholic faith and a construction worker.
Pallbearers will be Alex Martinez, Fernando Beltran, Uriel Mendez, Noel Hernandez, Jackson Hall and Gage Evans.
