AMPA, FLA. - Esther Dean Harless, age 81, of Tampa, Fla. and formerly of Pickens County, passed away January 9, 2018 at Central Park Health and Rehab. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon White officiating. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra H. "Sandy" Franklin and husband, Mike of Tampa, Florida; son, Charles Phillip Harless, II of Elrod, Alabama; grandchildren, Chris Franklin, Amanda Ledford (Cory) and Tiffany Harless; great-grandchildren, Caden Franklin and Grayson Ledford.
Esther Dean Harless was born July 7, 1936 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James Knox Harless and Ida Gracie Acker Harless. She was employed in the family owned business Parkview Royal Tire Company from 1963 until 2002. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Northport, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, Chad Watt, Gary Watt, Tommy Bosch, Lane Coker and David Craig.
