Ethel Mae Majors Pate, age 85, of Carrollton, AL died July 11, 2026 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2026 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Crowley and David Pate officiating. Burial will be in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Alton Miller Pate; her parents and brothers-in-law, Clarence Pate (Barbara) and Clifton Pate.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Carol Pate McDaniel (Mike) of Carrollton; her son, Terry Shane Pate (Delaine) of Carrollton; brother, Joe Majors (Renee) of Georgia; four grandchildren, Hannah Lawson (Brent), Josh Pate (Brandy), Shae McGee and Ty McDaniel (Brionna); eleven great-grandchildren, Brodi McGee, Braner McGee, Rowdy McDaniel, Noah Soto, IsaBella Soto, Mattie Lawson, Caden Lawson, Kinsley Lawson, Karsen Pate, Kiptyn Pate and Brooke Baker; sister-in-law, Wilda Pate of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Jerry Dean Pate (Susan) of Carrollton and many loving nieces and nephews.

Ethel was born August 16, 1940 in McShan, Alabama to the late Bohnam Hudge Majors and Izora B. Barton Majors. She was a homemaker and member of Carrollton Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Don Hickman, Bryan McGee, Brent Lawson, Brodi McGee, Braner McGee, Ty McDaniel, Josh Pate, Kiptyn Pate, Karsen Pate, Rowdy McDaniel, Caden Lawson and Noah Soto.

Honorary Pallbearers are Donnie Gene Pate and D.D., Jerry Dean Pate, Brenda Cook, Sherry Leal and Enhabit nurses, Kim and Paula.
