Evelyn Luverne Donaldson, age 85, of Aliceville, AL died August 18, 2026 at Diversicare in Foley, AL. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2026 at Dogwood Chapel with Bro. Bob Younge, Bro. Rodney Hedrick and Sister Diane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Donaldson; son, Ruben Donaldson; her parents; sister, Shirley Locke and brothers, Peter Thompson, Donald Thompson and Darrell McIlwain.

Survivors include her daughters, Teliena Corder (Don), Tebra Petersen (Ron) and Teresa “Terry” Cooper; sisters, Sharon Mott (Gerald), Glenda Beech (Jimmy) and Beverly Jones; brother, George Thompson (Libby); four grandchildren. Alesha Antoine (Terry), Matthew Gales, Melissa Lackey (Russell) and Jessica Bryant; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn Reynolds, Emmanuel Gentsch, Billy Walker, Sebastian Lahr, Irie Lahr and Madyson Bryant and great-great grandchildren, Ryan Reynolds and Savannah Reynolds.

Evelyn was born May 25, 1941 in Hopson, Alabama to the late George Thompson and Floramae Beech Thompson. She was a member of the Aliceville Family Worship Center and a retired textile worker for Fruit of the Loom.

Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Jesse Thompson, Josh Sheffield, Chris Mayhew and Sherman Mayhew.
