Evie Kate Robertson, age 82, of Gordo, AL died December 10, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Big Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Trey Kelley, Rev. Jerry Ray and Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy and three brothers, Cecil, R. B. and Clifton.
Survivors include her sister, Jeraldine Sanford and husband, James of Northport, AL; fifteen nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Kate was born May 5, 1936 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Ramon Robertson and Lucile Stripling Robertson. She was a caregiver and a member of Big Hill Baptist Church. Kate loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dyer, Colen Dyer, Randy Burgess, Billy Latham, Raiford Walters and Johnny Dyer.
Honorary Pallbearers are Heritage Nursing Home, Sarah Booth, RN, Hospice of West Alabama,
Big Hill Baptist Church and friends from Cheeky's and the Gordo community.
