GORDO | Fannie Mae Archibald, age 82, of Gordo, died January 9, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Mitchell Cemetery in the Benevola community with Rev. Leonard Hudson officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.She was preceded in death by her parents.She is survived by her husband, Lewis William Archibald of Gordo, Ala.Mrs. Archibald was born September 9, 1931 in Washington County, Alabama to the late M. J. and Hettie Carpenter. She was a retired employee of Bryce Hospital with thirty years of service and a well known resident of Pickens County.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mitchell Cemetery Fund, 6085 Benevola Rd., Gordo, AL 35466.
