Obituary

Fannie Mae Duncan, age 90, of Gordo, AL passed away August 14, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center.  Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 18, 2023 at Big Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Trey Kelley officiating.  Burial will be held in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Skelton Funeral Home of Reform handled the arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Redus Carroll; her parents; son-in-law, Johnny Plowman; brother, Walter James; sisters, Ramona Swindle and Evie Lee Hocutt, granddaughter-in-law, Betsy Lott Plowman and grandson-in-law, Timothy Hollingsworth.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Plowman; sons, Jimmy Carroll (Leona) and Joe Carroll (Ashley); special daughter-in-law, Teressa Carroll; brothers, Thomas James and Chester James (Wenice) grandchildren, Robert Carroll (Brandy), Mandy Adkins (Joseph), Candi Stewart (Jeff), Angie Gardner (Cliff), Adam Plowman (Hope) and Amy Hudson; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and special friend, Dellie Trull.
Fannie Mae was born May 8, 1933 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Carlos James and Florence Porter James.  She was a member of Big Hill Baptist Church and a retired employee of Peco, Inc. in Gordo.
Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers are Amedisys Hospice and Fayette Long Term Care.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Big Hill Baptist Church, c/o Colin Dyer, 9197 County Road 49, Gordo, AL 35466.
