Nora "Faye" Marlowe, age 76, of Gordo, AL died May 7, 2025 at her residence.  Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Poole officiating.  Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.  Faye's favorite color was red and the family requests that everyone wear red.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Peggy Joyce "Joy" Snider and brothers, Archie Shirley, Ellis Shirley and Winford "Snake" Shirley.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, J. L. Marlowe of Gordo; daughter, Tammy Plowman and husband, Chuck of Gordo; sister, Jean Clark of Gordo; brother, Wayne Shirley of Northport, two grandchildren, Hope Lankford (Jay) and Grace Plowman and two great-grandchildren, Rainey Claire Lankford and Callaway Lankford.
Faye was born June 14, 1948 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Julius Ross Shirley and Gladys Adell Shirley.  She was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church, a former employee of Westinghouse in Reform and Seamless in Fayette. She was also a former employee of JVC and Piggly Wiggly and was a health care sitter.
Her nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers are Gordo High School Class of 1966, employees of Hospice of West Alabama, friends of the Zion community and special friend, Christy Maloney.
