Garrett Edward Pritchett, age 22, of Gordo, AL went to be with his Savior on October 13, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, October 18, 2021 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with his father, Richard Pritchett and Rev. Mike Perrigin officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lois Pritchett, Betty Colquitt and Martha Campbell.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Angela Pritchett; step-mom, Pam Pritchett; sister, Morgan Burns; brother-in-law, Devin Burns; grandparents, Jimmy and Jewell Pritchett, Dee and Roxy Blanton, Richard Colquitt and Frank Campbell; uncles and aunts, Anthony Pritchett (Jackie), Missy Pritchett Cooper (Lance), Jerry Ray Crowell (Diane), Sherry Kay Washington, Marty Hagler (Celeste) and Tim Crowell (Robin); two nieces, one nephew, many cousins and other family and friends.
Garrett was born February 16, 1999 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was a member of Rock Solid Baptist Church was employed as a commercial diver and underwater welder. Garrett was a unique person who never met a stranger, no matter what color, how rich or how poor. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting, meeting people and being with his family and friends and his best companion, "Artemis."
Pallbearers will be Zachary Booth, Allan Crowell, Trent Hayes, Mikey Starnes, Drake Moses and Wes Raybon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Alabama Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 217 County Club Park #132, Birmingham, AL 35213 or the American Cancer Society, Mid-South Division, 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 300, Birmingham, AL 35205.
