James Garry Guy, age 67, of Gordo, AL died August 5, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Bro. Ryan James officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Friday, August 8, 2025 at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vickie Jo Reece and her husband, Jerry Reece; father-in-law, Stanford Branyon and brother-in-law, Marvin Duren.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Branyon Guy; daughters, April Shoults (Eric) and Alison Wheatley (Josh); son, Austin Guy (Katie); brother, Scott Guy (Patricia); sisters, Patsy Duren and Tracy Malone (Frankie); six grandchildren, Ellis Shoults, Graydon Wheatley, Lenny Guy, Cora Shoults, Levi Wheatley and Ellie Guy; mother-in-law, Genny Branyon and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Garry was born November 6, 1957 to the late James Irvin Guy and Jo Doris Corr Guy.  He was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Pickens County Board of Education.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy "Bobo" Quimby, Jackson Guy, Guy Duren, Shane Hudson, James Plowman, Sparky Cowart, Ryan Lolley and Jack Somerville.
