Wilburn Eugene "Gene" Lane, age 76, of Reform, AL died May 31, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, June 6, 2025 at Millport Church of Christ with James Ivan Hall officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Lane and daughter, Carrie Wrightson.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie McGrinn Lane; son, William McGrinn and wife, Catherine; mother, Irene Wilkerson Lane; sister, Jackie Lowery and husband, Ken; six grandchildren, Kassedy Wrightson, Emma Dyes (Mason), Hunter Wrightson (Kassidy), Elizabeth McGrinn, Stella McGrinn and Luke McGrinn and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Dyes, Lucy Dyes and Julia Dyes.
Gene was born January 4, 1949 in Columbus, Mississippi.  He was a member of North Pickens Church of Christ, a retired employee of Natures Earth Pellets and a veteran of the United States Marines.
Pallbearers are Hunter Wrightson, Andy Duncan, Steven Duncan, Luke McGrinn, Lance Lowery and Lennis Hudson.
Honorary Pallbearers are the elders of North Pickens and Millport Church of Christ.
