George Smedley Green, age 92, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away June 13, 2020 at Aspire Physical Recovery Center in Northport, AL. Graveside services will be held by Chandler Funeral Home & Crematory in Hockessin, Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frank P. Green and two sisters, Mary Green and Catherine Kemper.
Survivors include is daughter, Carolyn L. Avery Tony Thrasher); son, Dale E. Green (Denise); twin sisters, Josephine M. Tribbitt and Myrtle Mills; three grandchildren, Mark D. Avery (Sabrina), Scott D. Avery (Gina) and Lisa D. Wright (John) and eight great-grandchildren, Ava, Easton and Morgan Wright, Mavis and Sebastian Avery and Jasmine, Ava and Julian Campbell.
Mr. Green was born October 5, 1927 in Hockessin, Delaware to the late John Byron Green and Lillian Anna Horne Green. He was a member of the Catholic faith, a retired employee of the U. S. Government and a U. S. Army veteran.
