Obituary

REFORM | George Rau McAdams, age 89, of Reform, died June 27, 2015, at Legacy Health and Rehab in Pleasant Grove. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Andreasen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and following the service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Bonner McAdams; parents; two brothers, Garland Letcher McAdams Jr., and Searcy Ray McAdams. Survivors include his daughter, Georganne Quails and husband Jim of McCalla; sister, Effie Gay Sanders of Six Mile S.C.; grandchildren, Jaime Burell and her husband Charles, Jan Hobbs and her husband Josh; great-grandchildren, Lailah Burell, Mac Burell and Adelyn Hobbs. Mr. McAdams was born December 30, 1925 in Millport, Alabama to the late Garland Letcher McAdams Sr. and Mamie Pearl Day McAdams. He was a member of the Reform First Presbyterian Church, a retired employee of Southern Natural Gas with 38 years of service and a United States Army veteran serving in World War II. will be Charles Burell, Josh Hobbs, Tony Taggart, Jack Adkins, Bob Shields, and Dennis Wolford. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Reform First Presbyterian Church and employees and former employees of Southern Natural Gas. The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Association 117-A Longwood, S.E. Huntsville, AL 35801.
