Obituary

Phillip Gregory Robbins, age 38, of Carrollton, AL passed away on August 13, 2022. At DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Heard officiating. A private burial will follow at Carrollton Cemetery with Skeleton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the church.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Windross, Mrs. Jean Marie Robbins and Mr. Angus Loder and his uncle Keith Robbins.

Survivors include his wife, Kristen Robbins; son, John Henry and daughter, Reagan. His parents, Dr. and Mrs. Dale Robbins; grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Loder; sister, Helena Stewart (Keith); brother, Ian Robbins (Lyndsi); mother and father-in-law, John and Sherry McGee; sister-in-law, Katie Guy (Austin); uncle, Blair Robbins; aunts, Ingrid Robbins and Barbara Robbins; nieces, Leah Stewart, Scotlyn and London Robbins, and Lenny Guy; cousins, Matt and Nick Robbins (Nicole) and Julia and Fraser Robbins.

Dr. Robbins was born July 17, 1984 in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada and had dual citizenship with the United States and Canada. He was a member of Aliceville First Presbyterian Church and attended Carrollton Baptist Church. Greg was a wonderful husband and loving father. He cherished his family and prized the precious times they had together. Greg was a passionate Alabama Football fan and took pride in keeping the family informed of the current stats and recruitment updates from Tider Insider. He was an excellent golfer and truly enjoyed the festive fellowship of family and friends.

Greg graduated from Pickens Academy in 2002 and always knew he wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps to become a doctor. Greg graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama and went on to pursue his dreams at UAB School of Medicine.

Greg valued first practicing at Carrollton Primary Care in Carrollton. He later went on to practice with his father in Aliceville, AL at Aliceville Family Practice. Greg treasured having the opportunity to serve patients with his father and was faithfully devoted and appreciated the many, wonderful patients he was able to care for.

Although Greg Robbins left us far too soon and will be dearly missed the most as a husband, father and son, the tremendous impact he made on all who knew him will forever live in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Lee Edwards, Carl Clary, Will Finney, David Steen, Chris Wilson, Jody McGee, Dustin McGee, and Caleb McGee. Honorary Pallbearers are staff, co-workers and colleagues.

In lieu of flowers memorials the family suggests memorials to Carrollton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 457, Carrollton, AL 35447.
