REFORM - Gregory Paul "Greg" McCafferty, age 57, of Reform, died January 28, 2017, at UAB Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bruce McCafferty, Jr.; brother, Jeff McCafferty; sister, Nancy Howell; nephew, Alan Robert McCafferty and great-niece, Abigail Dodd.
Survivors include his daughter, Laci Jones (Josh) of Northport, Ala.; son, Daniel McCafferty (Alex) of Reform, Ala.; mother, Doris Thomas McCafferty of Carrollton, Ala.; sisters, Janice Estis (Richard) of Fayette, Ala., Dianne Findley (Ricky) of Reform, Ala. and Betty Leonard (Elmer) of Millport, Ala.; brother, Dale McCafferty (Pam) of Spanish Fort, Ala.; brother-in-law, Joe Howell of Northport, Ala.; two grandchildren, Harper McCafferty and Della Jones; a number of nieces and nephews and too many friends to list by name.
Greg was born October 16, 1959 in Aliceville, Alabama. He graduated from Carrollton High School and was the retired owner of Greg's Body Shop for over thirty years. Greg was one of a kind with a good sense of humor. He was a very caring person and would give you "the shirt off his back."
Greg loved his children and his grandchildren dearly. His grandchildren were the highlight of his day. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ken Lowery, Michael Cooper, Buster McKee, RIchard Tilley, Kenny TIlley, Randy Adams, Rick Estis, Andy Duncan, Joey Howell and Roger Lindsey.
Honorary pallbearers are CarQuest of Reform, Town Square Diner and the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center.
