HARTSELLE | Helen Elois Pratt, age 97, of Hartselle, Ala., formerly of Reform, died August 27, 2014, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, Ala. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Graham Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Sam Andreasen officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Pratt; two granddaughters, Tracey Smith and Sara Elizabeth Finch; her parents; two sisters, Margie McAdams and Lela Mae Bell; and brother, Ray Hardin.Survivors include her son, Jim Pratt and wife, Barbara of Florence, Ala.; daughter, Peggy Pratt Finch and husband, Jim of Hartselle, Ala.; two grandchildren, Russ Finch and Katie Finch Lott (Jon); grandson-in-law, Brent Smith; three great-grandchildren, Bradleigh Smith, Tracey Elizabeth Lott and Aubrey Grace Lott; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pratt was born October 18, 1916 in Millport, Alabama to the late William Glenn Hardin and Sarah Elizabeth Alexander Hardin. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Reform, a retired librarian for Reform Public Library and a well-known resident of Pickens County. Pallbearers will be Brent Smith, Jonathan Lott, Bob Bell, Clark Hardin, Lloyd Hardin and Kenneth McAdams.Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Summerford Nursing Home.
