GORDO - Henry Earl Trull, age 76, of Gordo, Ala. died, October 21, 2017 at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Mason and Rev. Leon White officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight, Monday, at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, three brothers, Jimmy Trull, Jerry Trull and Ronnie Trull; son-in-law, Tommy Clements; niece, Teresa White and brother-in-law, Olin Fuller.
Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Linda O'Bryant Trull; daughters, Twanika Thompson (Keith) and Quitina Clements; son, Ricky Trull (Sandra); sisters, Louise Fuller, Nancy White (Leon), Doris Rubio (Ralph); brother, Joe Trull (Jean); seven grandchildren, Clay Thompson (Olivia), Ben Trull, Chris Thompson (Paula), Kayla
Arnold (Kyle), Zach Clements (Jordan), Leah Graves (Mason) and Kylie Clements; five great-grandchildren: Lily Thompson, Eli Thompson, Natalie Thompson, Nik Curry and Noah Curry; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Trull was born November 15, 1940 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama to the late Houston Trull and Edna Hayes Trull. He was minister at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Fayette, Alabama and a United States Army veteran.
Henry was a devoted husband, loving father and faithful man of God who lived a life of service to his family, his community and his Lord and Savior. Henry affected the lives of many, shepherding God's people for over 54 years and pastoring to the very end.
He was loved and respected while on earth and will be dearly missed. He is now receiving the treasure he stored up in Heaven from the One he loved so dearly, the One who loved Henry first, the One who died to save us all, Jesus Christ.
Pallbearers will be Clay Thompson, Ben Trull, Chris Thompson, Zach Clements, Terry White and Mike George.
Honorary pallbearers are Brannon Pinion, Hershel Owen, Leonard Hill, Jack House, Ervin Nichols, Roger Shabel, Tony and Patty Annerton, Farrell and Peggy Noland.
