GORDO – Hobert Allen "Hobie" Lee, age 81, of Gordo, Ala., died December 3, 2017, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Hill and Rev. Jack House officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be one hour prior and immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Kebler; his parents; nine sisters; six brothers; and a niece and nephew.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis E. Lee; daughter, Theresa Emans and husband, Dallas; grandson, William Lee Kebler (Cassie); granddaughters, Kourtney Kissell (Devin), Tiffanie Emans and Rachael Emans; and great-granddaughters, Emma Kissell, Elli Kissell, Elivia Kissell and Riley Lynch.
Mr. Lee was born November 21, 1936 in Hanceville, Alabama to the late Edd "J. A." Lee and Mary Matilda "Polly" Doughty Lee. He was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church in Gordo and a retired maintenance supervisor for the Flint, Michigan Board of Education.
Pallbearers will be John Pearson, Jonathan Anderson, Danny Gray, Delaine Snider, Shane Hudson, Larry Manion, Marty Pate, Dallas Emans and Joey Roberts.
